  Tasty BBQ with a hint of smoke and a good bit of black pepper. Crinkle fries were hot and tasty. The "whole hog" sammich is a tasty creation to be sure. Kiddos scarfed their hot dog and hamburger. A recommended stop if traveling through.

  Rocking Pig serves the best BBQ in Maxton, NC according to my husband and son. Whenever we visit relatives in Maxton, they always take us to Rocking Pig for dinner. I don't eat beef or pork so I order the grill cheese sandwich and fries and I have to say it is the best grill cheese sandwich I have had in a long time. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and reminds you of years gone by with pictures and memorabilia. Maxton is a small town off of Highway 74, exit 191. If you are going to Charlotte or the beach, stop by and you won't be disappointed.

  Friendly cozy and welcoming barbecue place. I had the blue plate special riblets the meat was tender and pink they were delicious and the sauce was my favorite. We left with some pineapple cake and brownie which was equally delicious. The barbecue and baked goods compliment each other perfectly. I will be retuning on my way back from Wilmington to Charlotte for sure!!
